|Recommended: YesQuiet, Clean, Property and maintenance staff are professional and friendly. — I have been living at Motor Wheel Lofts for around 10 months and this has been a very nice place to stay.
The Maintenance staff is very responsive if problems arise.
When my air condition started blowing warm air on a 90 degree day, one of the maintenance staff came to the unit within an hour after I sent a work order, diagnosed the issue and had it fixed within an hour.
Underground Garage, extra parking for my 2nd vehicle, a full size washer and dryer in-unit and a well kept building makes me glad I made the decision to move here.
|Recommended: YesGorgeous and Quiet — I really enjoy being at MWL. It's a great location for biking with it being so close to the river trail and it's always nice to be so close to the downtown area.
|Recommended: YesMade my move-in a couple days ago and I am impressed The staff seems to put in the effort of making the building and the surrounding landscape look very presentable. The actual apartments are of quality for sure and seem to be well insulated. I met the owner Harry and he seems to be a genuine guy continuing to seek improvements to the property for the residents. I haven’t seen that quality in years and is quite refreshing.
|Recommended: YesClean, classy, and chic — Motor Wheel Lofts is mere steps from downtown and only a brief drive from MSU's campus. Not only is the property safe, it is also beautiful. The grounds are gracefully landscaped and the common areas are draped in modern art pieces. And the best part of all, the staff and tenants are the friendliest neighbors one could ask for.
|Recommended: YesIt's great, super quiet and the people are nice. — It's a nice apartment building.
|Recommended: YesGreat Place To Live — Great Place - Clean, nice management, perfect location.
|Recommended: YesWonderful living experience, well managed and well taken care of — We have lived at Motor Wheel for nearly six years. We have had a fantastic experience living here. Our unit has a great view of the city, and the layout is such that we are able to make good use of the space. The grounds and interior of the building are meticulously kept up, and there are always staff around doing work inside and outside. The maintenance system for getting things fix is easy to use, and we've typically had extremely prompt responses, and excellent fixes or solutions to any issues we have. The building manager is accessible via email, cell, and a resident portal. Our space is really beautiful, with nice fixtures. One of the best parts about living here is the proximity to several neighborhoods and parks right in Lansing, which makes it easy to walk to places when possible. Being six years in a building, we've had a lot of neighbors, and overall had a good experience with the people in the building, many of whom are advanced students or professionals. There are good options for parking. While the building is pet friendly, it's not too bad at all for folks who do not have pets, given how the different rules and expectations are laid out. I would strongly suggest to anyone looking for apartments in Lansing, even just for a year, to check out Motor Wheel. Seriously, we've both enjoyed and space and neighborhood and come to expect prompt, excellent resident services.
|Recommended: YesBeautiful — A great living experience but slightly pricey.
|Recommended: YesReally was a great place for me and my family — I would tell others it is a great place to be. Quiet. Friendly. Great views of downtown. For the most part the maintenance requests were fulfilled very quickly. Really great experience for a few months. Also felt very safe and secure.
|Recommended: YesGreat place to live — Unique apartments and very spacious. We really enjoy living here. We are hoping they make updates to the gym and court yard, that would put this place to a 5 star level.
|Recommended: YesGood place to live. Needs to invest more in maintenance — Quiet, spacious, and modern apartments. Facilities and grounds are always spotless or very near. Only criticism is maintenance could be more timely.
|Recommended: YesLove the property — Lofts are absolutely fantastic. Only complaint is the train is loud but the windows do pretty well to block the sound.
|Recommended: YesModern yet oldschool — Still some updates needed, especially the kitchen sink. Cabinets are really high and hard to get to unless you're tall. underground parking is great
|Recommended: YesBest residential space in Lansing — I have enjoyed Motor Wheel Lofts as my home for 10 years. I have not been able to find another place in the Lansing are that even compares. The units are beautiful, the best I've seen in the city. The building itself and the grounds are very well maintained. I enjoyed using the fitness center every morning, which had pretty much everything I needed to maintain a home or gym regimen. Maintenance staff and management are very kind and responsive as long as you follow the rules, which are reasonable. The underground parking is the best I've seen in the city as well. If I could take this building with me to Illinois, I would I will miss living there.
